TODAY’S COFFEES roasted in San Diego on 2/19/25:
NOTE: Coffea Excelsa is a derivative of Coffea Liberica, a distinctly different species from Arabica and Robusta. This coffee is uncommon and is less than 1% of the market in specialty coffee. It is said to possess perhaps half the caffein content of Arabica, and less of Robusta, though measurements calibration is sketchy and caffein varies widely between coffees of all types. A new business is opening in Ocean Beach, called Cafe Excelsa, where the bean will be roasted and offered at retail to the public.
