TODAY’S COFFEES roasted in San Diego on 10/1/24:
PANNIKIN: Mexico Oaxaca medium roast, shade grown, fair trade, recommended for pour over…we think it will do just fine as a filter cup, so there’s no need to do the twee ballet of a pour over, but that’s just us. http://pannikincoffeeandtea.com
BIRD ROCK: Ecuador Hacienda La Papaya, Gesha varietal, natural process. Though they claim to be waiting til midmonth on this one, the roaster-gnomes on Morena Boulevard are working on batches of this one today. You’ll need to wait awhile; they say it will be marketed on the fifteenth…feh. http://birdrockcoffee.com
DARK HORSE: Colombia Tolima, direct trade, Caturra and Castillo varietals, washed process. http://darkhorsecoffeeroasters.com
YIPAO: Colombia Herrera, Tolima, Gesha varietal, light roast in batches of 2.5kg (or five point five pounds) and available for sale in that size lot. http://yipao-coffee.com
