TODAY’S COFFEES roasted in San Diego on 8/25/23:

MOSTRA: Thailand Asor Merlaeku dark roast (thankfully, it’s a dark roast) Catuai, Typica, and Chiang Mai varietals, raisin natural process (the berries are left on the trees to dry like raisins before picking). Their site describes this as a remedy for paradigmatic intelligentsia. Whatever.

APERTURE: Bali Blue; Tanzania. They’re selling moka pots these days, too.

BETTER BUZZ: Organic Uganda, rain forest alliance certified. medium (meh) roast.

BOAT CREW: Ethiopia Yrghacheffe. They have a good deal of it these days, it seems…

CHINGATE UN CAFE: Mexico Oaxaca No Manches brew. Bourbon, Novo and Typica varietals.

STEADY STATE: Rwanda Muzo. Peru Huabal organic–a real standout of a coffee–typica and yellow caturra varietals.
